Insurance Agent

Younger Insurance Agency is a growing independent insurance agency providing property and casualty insurance products to Younger Auto Group’s customers and the local tri-state area market. As an independent insurance agency, Younger Insurance works with over 8 different carriers in MD, PA, WV, and VA. It is our goal to help customers find the best coverage available, at the lowest rate.

The Position: Licensed Insurance Professional

Younger Insurance Agency is looking for a motivated and independent insurance producer to join their growing team. Experience in the insurance field is a plus, but not a requirement. We are looking for someone that thrives in a high pace sales environment. Candidates must be comfortable multitasking and interacting in-person with customers on a daily basis. 

Location: Hagerstown, Maryland

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Sell auto, home and other personal insurance lines to Younger Auto Group customers and the general public
• Manage assigned dealership traffic through established prospecting process
• Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services
• Use a customer focused, value-based sales process to educate customers about insurance options
• Effectively document and process all account transactions in Agency Management System
• Verify insurance coverage’s for Younger Auto Group as required by law
• Maintain agency book of business by servicing accounts, fielding customer questions, answering telephones, and responding to inquirers in a timely matter

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in related positions (sales, marketing, insurance, travel, hospitality)
• Bachelors degree or equivalent education/experience
• Strong written, verbal, and listening skills
• Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience with CRM software and other like programs
• Experience with Vertafore products is a plus (PL Rater and QQ Catalyst)
• Property and Casualty Insurance Producer Licenses is a plus, but not a requirement. We are willing to train and contribute to licenses expenses for the right candidate.
