Experienced Accounting Office Manager - Automotive - Younger Auto Group
The Office Manager is responsible to develop organizational procedures and systems for office personnel, including filing, billing, and accounts payable and scheduling. Establish team atmosphere through leadership and employee development. Office Manager will handle day-to-day operations with the focus on efficiency and time management.
Essential Duties:
Supervise and coordinate daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
Prepare and review monthly and year-end financial statements in accordance with dealership and manufacturer guidelines.
Reconcile bank statements, accounting schedules, and general ledger accounts.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, internal controls, and manufacturer policies.
Oversee title work and MVA compliance.
Assist with month-end close process, including journal entries and schedule reconciliation.
Train, develop, and supervise accounting office personnel.
Interface with external auditors, tax professionals, and manufacturer representatives.
Maintain accurate and organized accounting records for audits and internal use.
Back-up to Payroll processing.
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in dealership accounting or a similar automotive role.
Proven supervisory or management experience in an accounting setting.
Strong understanding of dealership management systems (preference to CDK & Dealertrack).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
High level of integrity and attention to detail.
Self-motivated, able to effectively prioritize tasks and organize schedule.
