As our Payroll Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting more than just payroll processing. You will be a trusted resource for payroll administration, reporting, compliance, and maintaining the integrity of employee payroll records across our dealership operations.

What You'll Do
As Payroll Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
Processing accurate and timely weekly payroll for the Auto Group
Reviewing and processing monthly commission payroll
Setting up new employees and maintaining employee payroll records
Processing payroll changes including compensation updates, direct deposits, tax withholdings, deductions, leaves of absence, and terminations
Reviewing payroll reports and identifying discrepancies before payroll submission
Maintaining payroll system data, codes, deductions, and account distributions
Preparing and filing monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll-related reports
Processing payroll tax filings and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Preparing annual W-2 forms and assisting with year-end payroll reporting
Responding to employee payroll inquiries professionally and confidentially
Maintaining organized and accurate payroll documentation and records
Staying current on payroll regulations, reporting requirements, and company policies
Supporting additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience
Strong understanding of payroll procedures, payroll reporting, and payroll compliance requirements
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize competing responsibilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive employee information
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Intermediate computer proficiency and ability to learn payroll and dealership software systems
Professional demeanor and customer-service mindset
Preferred Qualifications
Experience processing multi-company and multi-location payroll
Experience with commission payroll calculations
Payroll experience within an automotive dealership environment
Familiarity with payroll tax reporting and year-end processing
